This story began with a little Belarusian girl named Varvara, who dreamed of having a drone. After saving up money, she finally bought one and… donated it to Belarusian fighters in Ukraine. This is how the idea of creating an aerial reconnaissance unit was born, which was realized through the collaboration of BySol and the office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, with technical support and participation from the Prague Support Team (PST).
Thanks to donations and the support of concerned individuals, the necessary funds were raised to form the unit. All fighters underwent tactical training at the PST base in Poland, where they also learned how to operate drones, participated in tactical field exercises and training sessions, and mastered skills in providing tactical medical assistance.
Drones, all necessary equipment, 4×4 vehicles, and other gear were purchased for the unit. A special contribution to the unit’s development was made by the Belarusian diaspora from various countries around the world, which funded these efforts, including the purchase of the “Prague Set” for each member of the aerial reconnaissance unit.
Since the summer of 2022, the aerial reconnaissance unit joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and began its mission to defend Ukraine. These brave individuals, armed with modern technology and knowledge, fight for peace and freedom, continuing the mission started by a little girl with a big dream.
